I am happy to see people who are closer to reality...! The thing is, many of
our intellectuals are still.... And since almost no women is there in this
group(which is quite a representative of our intelligentsia ), and since
50% or more of our population is women, I believe that the intelligentsia
in our state is so skewed against women's problems.

In my case, I know that my mother, my sister and some other friends have
been victims of such attacks. And many of my friends who are attackers.

Yes, sexual harassment is nothing new in this world, and it exists in many
other places outside Kerala as well. But the scale in our state is
horrifying. And the thing is, most people have started seeing it as
something "natural" to violate a women. And naturally, I have been a "loner"
in my friend circles about this issue.

The stare you have to face if you walk with a girl in Calicut city! Or sit
with a women in a bus! And oh God, by chance you happen to arrive in your
town (with a women) after day light...! And imagine a lonely women traveling
by bus after, say 8 PM..!! ( I can say with conviction what she will have
to face, towards north of Thrissur)
